The client required a critical replacement turbine shaft for a major hydroelectric facility. The challenge was to manufacture a component with extreme dimensional accuracy and a fatigue limit exceeding 500 MPa, capable of withstanding continuous high-torque operation. Our approach integrated advanced CNC milling with a proprietary post-weld heat treatment to refine the grain structure of the forged steel. The final 8.5-meter shaft was delivered with a surface finish of Ra 0.4 μm and passed all non-destructive testing, resulting in a 15% increase in expected service life for the client's turbine assembly.
